"I live over an hour away from The Bakery of Southbury, so it's always a treat when my travels take me nearby and I can stop. When I had family living in town, I enjoyed their tasty treats on a regular basis. Now, years later, it's nice to see the same quality and selection in their flaky pastries, light donuts, and hearty breads and coffee cakes. They serve up everything with a smile and a hello that's just as sweet as the powder sugar toppings. It's a testament to their legacy in Southbury that even today, in COVID times, there's a line at the door on Sunday morning -- with a Dunkin right next door, too! What's the best? Hard to say, but their Boston Creme donut has a layer of rich chocolate icing that some might say is too much, bit I say just right. And they still fry or cook in oil that doesn't leave that bad flavor when you're done (Dunkin' fans, you know what I'm talking about). Want to splurge and spoil everyone at home or the office, pick up an assortment of pastries, or a ring. Better yet, pick it up, and spoil yourself!"
